Many veterans joined us at West End today for our Veterans Day program. Some even joined us via pictures and memories. As the army song played and army veterans rose to be recognized, Elin Tilley proudly stood holding a picture of her great grandfather and army veteran Samuel Freeman and his wife, Kathryn Freeman. West End was proud to host the replica of The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier presented by the Rome Exchange Club. Our 5th & 6th graders learned about the importance of remembering the sacrifices of all of our soldiers on the tomb’s 100th anniversary! #tomb100 @romecityschools
