West End is excited to be adding 2 additional bus routes beginning tomorrow (12/8) morning to help decrease the number of students on each bus. Some students who ride buses 10, 14, & 8 will begin riding one of these new buses. All affected families have been notified. This may also cause pick-up and drop-off times to be a few minutes earlier than normal for these buses. Please bear with us as we work to continually improve our services for students. @romecityschools

First graders in Mrs. Gibbons class completed a candy cane enrichment activity. They learned how sucrose (tiny sugar molecules) are bonded tightly together, and when place in water they begin to separate and dissolve.

We still have spots available for OLA Language School. Parents of Rome City School students are invited to attend a free 18 week English class. This class meets on Tuesday from 6-7:30 and free childcare is available. Classes start January 4th.

Our next “Fun Friday” is Friday, December 10th as we host Hawaiian Tropical Twist! Orders are due by Tuesday, December 7th.

Save the date! Our first ever “Bingo for Books” night will be held on Thursday, Dec 9th at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Join us for some family fun and win some #freebooks. @romecityschools

West End students celebrated reading 20,000 nights by watching Willie and Dr. Drummond square off in a friendly game of cornhole. 2nd graders watched in the gym as top readers De’Zayden, Cambree, and Ginette assisted Willie! Dr. Drummond emerged victorious! @romecityschools
