Save the date! Fall Picture Day is Friday, September 27th.
Friday (8/30) is an Independent Learning Day. Students will not report to school. Students should read for 20 minutes, record their reading on their reading log, and finish any incomplete work. Schools will also be closed on Monday (9/2) for Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!
All chocolate fundraiser money is due this Thursday (8/29)! Thank you for supporting West End! We will share an update after all money has been collected.
This Thursday (8/29), we encourage all staff and students to wear their favorite college gear as we kick off college football! Who will you be cheering for?
We will also have Kona Ice on campus for students to purchase during recess ($3-$5).

For the third year in a row, West End students participated in the annual Great Southeast Pollinator Census. We mapped out the pollinator-friendly plants. Our data will be submitted to the University of Georgia to be included in the official state count.

The "golden ticket" has been found! Congratulations to Lehoni Johnson on winning a 5 lb. chocolate bar from World's Finest Chocolate! Time is running out on our fundraiser, and we've almost met our goal! All money due next Thursday (8/29)!
Second graders have been brushing up on story elements by reading Mercy Watson to the Rescue. They finished up the unit last Friday by enjoying Mercy’s favorite snack…hot buttered toast!

Cub Scouts information was sent home yesterday. The parent information meeting is tomorrow night at 6 pm in the cafeteria.
