Cub Scouts information was sent home yesterday. The parent information meeting is tomorrow night at 6 pm in the cafeteria.

We are over halfway to our fundraising goal! Please stop by the front office and pick up a box of chocolates to sell if you have not already done so, and help your child earn some great prizes while supporting our school. All fundraiser money is due Friday, Aug. 30th.

We had a sea of blue all across campus today as we celebrated our staff and students for being named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence- Lighthouse School!

Please help us celebrate being named one of 32 schools across the nation as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence - Lighthouse School! We are encouraging everyone to wear the color blue tomorrow (8/9)! We will also have a special treat for students during recess.

As we work to improve our afternoon car rider pick-up procedures, we ask that all parents picking up 3rd-6th graders (and their younger siblings) enter the pick-up line from Ridge Drive. All PK-2nd grade parents should continue entering the line from Coosawattee Avenue. Please see the attached diagram. Members of the Rome Police Department as well as school officials will be available to assist you. Please be mindful not to block driveways. Thank you for your patience as we work to continually improve our dismissal procedures.

Welcome, Mr. Rucker!

Welcome, Mrs. Hooten!

Welcome, Coach Watson!

Please join us for Parent information Night!

We are currently selling the world's finest chocolate as a fundraiser for projects and upgrades at our school. Please help us by picking up a box for your child to sell. Students will win prizes for each box which money is returned for! Thank you for your support!

Important Reminders:
If your child has any change in their normal transportation home, please write a note to their teacher informing them of the change. Please do not call the front office to make changes to afternoon transportation except in emergencies.
Dismissal time is 2:40 pm this year which is 10 minutes later than last year. This means afternoon buses will arrive at least 10 minutes later than last year.
Please be respectful to our neighbors surrounding our school by not blocking driveways to homes during arrival or dismissal.
Remember that Ridge Drive is never a one-way street. Please do not drive in the wrong lane. Only Deerbrook Drive becomes a one-way street during arrival (7:00-8:00) and dismissal (2:00-3:00) times.

Welcome, Ms. DePratto!

Parent information Nights! Please join us!

Reminder: Early care and after-school care both begin tomorrow (8/5). Both of these should be paid for in advance. Early care drop-off is between 6:30-7:00 am at the front entrance for $3 per day per child. After-school care begins at 3:15 pm and runs until 5:30 pm for $10 per day per student (discount applies for families with multiple students in after-school care…see Mr. Summerlin, after-school director, for more information).

Help us keep our students safe! 🛑 Georgia’s new law, Addy's Law (House Bill 409), has increased fines for passing a stopped school bus. Please remember to STOP when you see a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended. Let's work together to protect our children. #AddysLaw #SchoolBusSafety #RCSSafetyTips
